Mount Nittany Medical Center has announced the addition of Dr. Emily A. Peterson, plastic and reconstructive surgeon, to its physician group. Peterson is the first plastic surgeon employed by Mount Nittany.
The reconstructive and cosmetic surgery services at Mount Nittany will specialize in restoring or reconstructing the human body for ailments including burns, traumatic injuries and disease. Peterson will also provide cosmetic procedures and surgery for those seeking to improve their appearance.
Peterson will provide care at Mount Nittany Medical Center, Mount Nittany Surgical Center and at her office on Green Tech Drive.
Dr. Ciceron Opida, a board-certified neurologist, has opened an office on the Tyrone Hospital campus.
Opida is now seeing patients in Tyrone every Wednesday, providing general and geriatric neurology, diagnostic nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections, neurolytic blocks, trigger point injections and botox injections.
Courtney Kriley has been named clinical manager at SunPointe Health on Rolling Ridge Drive.
As the clinical manager, Kriley is responsible for patient liaison, program development activities, quality assurance, intake and medical records.
Kriley, who maintains a private practice, received a psychology degree at Penn State and a master’s degree from Rutgers University.
Trisha Minium, Jodee Eckess and Laurie Flanagan, of Tri-County Oral- Facial Surgeons, recently passed the Anesthesia Assistant Certification Examination given by American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Tracy Krawczyk has successfully completed her certification as a health care auditor given by the Association of Health Care Auditors and Educators.
