The National Association of Postmasters of the United States has elected Stephen Kochersperger,the postmaster of Julian, the organization’s national vice president.

He was selected during the association’s convention in Anchorage, Alaska. Starting in January, he will serve a two-year term representing postmasters from the entire state. Kochersperger was appointed the postmaster of Julian in 1986; he also serves as the editor for the Pennsylvania Chapter of NAPUS.

Health care

Dr. James A. Gerardohas joined the staff of Centre Medical and Surgical Associates. Gerardo will provide interventional cardiology services to adult patients with conditions and diseases of the heart and cardiovascular system.

He completed medical school at East Carolina University, where he also earned a doctorate in physiology. He completed an internal medicine residency at Penn State’s Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society and the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Sara Billet Fergusonhas joined the staff of Centre Medical and Surgical Associates.

Board-certified in dermatology, she will provide medical care to patients with conditions and diseases of the skin.

She did her dermatology residency at the Mayo Clinic and has been on the faculty there for the past year. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Jovanni Neblettrecently joined the women’s health department at Geisinger- Gray’s Woods.

Neblett received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and is pursuing a graduate degree in public health from Emory University School of Public Health.

She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.
