The Journey Begins!
The Bellefonte to Boston Challenge starts Tuesday April 15th
Roger Greene begins his 518 mile bicycle journey Tuesday, accompanied by 40+ First Day Challenge riders.
Departing at 10:00am Tuesday from Restek Corporation in the Penn Eagle Industrial Park, Roger and the First Day Challenge riders will travel approximately 60 miles to Lewisburg, PA.
Roger continues the challenge riding solo and averaging approximately 115 miles per day, to arrive in Boston, MA on Saturday.

The goal of the Boston Marathon Challenge is to raise $65,000 for (CVIM) Centre Volunteers in Medicine, a local non-profit organization providing free medical and dental care to uninsured residents of Centre County Pennsylvania. Additionally, Roger's goal for the Bellefonte to Boston Challenge is to contribute $25,000 to CVIM.
In 2006-2007 CVIM was responsible for providing 5,119 medical visits, 2,220 physician appointments and 1,455 dental visits to uninsured Centre County residents.

Bellefonte to Boston Challenge
Centre County resident Roger Greene will complete a 5 day, 518 mile bike ride from Bellefonte, PA to Boston, MA to raise funds and awareness for Centre Volunteers In Medicine, a non-profit organization striving to meet the needs of Centre County’s uninsured.
Boston Marathon Challenge
CVIM Board Member and marathon runner John Domico will lead a team of local atheletes in the Boston Marathon. Their goal is to raise $65,000 which will provide free medical and dental care to Centre County residents without access to insurance.

Joe and Sue Paterno to Coach CVIM Boston Marathon Team
Joe and Sue Paterno are supporting Centre Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) is in its fifth year of raising money for the clinic through the 2008 CVIM Boston Marathon Challenge. The Nittany Valley Running Club is fielding four teams of Centre County’s finest runners to compete in the world’s most prestigious marathon on April 21, 2008.
Joe Paterno will once again be the team’s Head Coach. He will be joined by Sue Paterno as the Women’s Coach and Greg Fredericks, a local Track and Field Olympian, as the Men’s Coach.
Joe and Sue Paterno, Greg Fredericks and team members will be available for interviews and a photo shoot at Penn State University’s Multi-Sport Facility indoor track at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2008.
