The candy-colored love letter to musicals "La La Land" landed a record-tying 14 Academy Award nominations on Tuesday, while a notably more diverse field of nominees brushed off two straight years of "OscarsSoWhite" backlash.

Ray Benson and Dale Watson geek out together

At one point during "Bus' Breakdown," a duet with his old friend Dale Watson, singer Ray Benson takes a mouthful of air and spews out "alternator, generator, transmission, radiator, alternator intakes, too." Benson is a veteran western swing musician of nearly 50 years, but it was difficult to sing, for the new double-baritone album "Dale & Ray," and even harder to memorize. "Actually, last night was the first night we got it right completely," the veteran Asleep at the Wheel bandleader says from his Austin, Texas, home. "The part he wrote ... it took me 15 minutes of singing those things over and over."

What it's like approaching Pluto - NASA releases breathtaking video

NASA has released an awesome video showing what it looks like approaching Pluto. The video is made up of more than 100 high resolution images taken by NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft. The images were taken over six months as the spacecraft flew by Pluto in July 2015. Pluto used to be considered the 9th plant from the sun, but it was later reclassified as a "dwarf planet."
