Silks’ goals sandwiched a marker by Evan Gover at the end of the first half for the Rams (3-1).
Nate Sweeley earned the shutout with four saves.
Josh Snyder made seven saves for the Eagles (3-3).
Bellefonte falls short to Lewistown
LEWISTOWN — Bellefonte made a strong effort in an attempt at their first win, but lost a hard-fought game 2-1 to Lewistown in overtime Tuesday.
Isaac Miller scord in the 15th minute for Lewistown, and Brandon Catherman netting the equalizer in the 50th minute. Thad Peachy then found the net for the game-winner in overtime.
Paul, Streit each get hat tricks
MCALISTERVILLE — Grace Prep’s Smith Paul and Davis Streit each scored three goals Monday to lead the Storm past Juniata Mennonite 9-4.
Josh Maurer scored twice and Jon Rothgeb added a goal to finish the scoring for Grace Prep (4-1).

Ventura notches two in win over BEA
SPRING MILLS — Penns Valley’s Liz Ventura scored twice to help the Lady Rams beat Bald Eagle Area 3-0 Tuesday.
Carolyn Darr scored the other goal for Penns Valley (3-2) while Katie Deardorff assisted on both of Ventura’s goals. Robin Siegenthaler grabbed four saves in goal.
Bellefonte triumphs
BELLEFONTE — Abby Newman’s second goal of the game, in the 60th minute, proved to be the game-winner as Bellefonte topped Lewistown 3-2 Tuesday.
Madi Walters and Logan Snyder scored Lewistown goals.
Bellefonte’s Angela Davies netted a goal just before halftime before Newman notched her first goal five minutes into the second half.
Emily Jabco and Kristin Buchanan each had an assist for the Lady Raiders (4-1).
CCCA cruises
BELLEFONTE — Morgan Donley netted a hat trick Tuesday helping Centre County Christian Academy blank DuBois Christian 10-0.
Donley scored all three of her goals during a five-minute stretch midway through the first half.
Also scoring for CCCA (2-1) were Makayla Donley with two goals and a goal each by Naomi Cahill, Lindsay Sagastume, Becky Maholic, Olivia Mele and Hannah Thomas.
Juniata Mennonite beats Grace Prep
MCALISTERVILLE — Juniata Mennonite earned a 9-2 victory over Grace Prep on Monday.
Caitlin Crable and Samantha Bohlman each scored for Grace Prep (3-1).

State College downs Loyalsock
STATE COLLEGE — State College cruised to a 6-1 win over Loyalsock on Tuesday.
The Lady Little Lions took all three singles matches, with Corrinne Jones, Cara Rangaswamy and Desiree Dennis all winning in straight sets. Cassie Beck and Myrtle Newcomer combined to take the only Loyalsock win in doubles, while Kelly Dimuccio-Becca Roundtree, Kaitrin Rodgers Kate Carpenter and Jillian Rodgers-Lillian Xu teamed for Lady Little Lion doubles wins.

State College tops Line Mountain
STATE COLLEGE — Hannah Zavacky scored twice to lead State College en route to putting away Line Mountain 4-1 Tuesday.
Nadia Lehtihet started the scoring at 14:06 from Amanda Dinunzio. Tori Patrick scored the other goal for State College (4-1) at 13:50 of the second half from Letitatt.

Bellefonte handles Penns Valley
SPRING MILLS — Bellefonte overcame a first set loss to rally past Penns Valley 16-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-9 Tuesday.
Kaity Clouser, Jena Matter and Mandy Robbins finished with 14, 11 and 10 kills, respectively, for the Lady Red Raiders (4-0). Matter also posted five aces. Mia Kowalchuk and Jessica Harvey each had nine digs and Emily Putnam gave out 33 assists.
For Penns Valley (1-3), Kasey Packer had five digs and Taylor Poorman had 10 assists.
BEA wins again
WINGATE — Nicole Reese had a team-high 10 kills and seven digs with Kendra Fetzer adding nine kills and 13 assists Tuesday as Bald Eagle Area knocked off Lewistown 25-12, 25-14, 24-26, 25-15.
Kelsey Shawcollected nine aces with eight assists and Kayla Confer had five kills and five digs for the Lady Eagles (4-0).
Phillipsburg-Osceola drops Central Mountain
PHILIPSBURG — Phillipsburg- Osceola, the top-ranked Class AA team in the state, cruised to a 25-7, 25-4, 25-9 victory against Central Mountain on Tuesday.
Taylor Harpster led the way with 10 kills, while Natasha Franks led the defensive effort with two blocks. Kelsey Gonder had 16 assists and six aces.
BOY'S CROSS COUNTRY
P-O splits, BEA falls
PHILIPSBURG — Philipsburg- Osceola earned a 15-50 decision over Bald Eagle Area on Tuesday with P-O losing to Indian Valley 15-47 and Indian Valley cruising past BEA 15-50.
P-O’s Greg Kojadinovich led all local runners in eighth place with a time of 19 minutes, 6 seconds. Nick Patrick(19:13) and Chris Patrick (19:14) finished ninth and 10th, respectively, for the Mounties.
BEA was led by Luke Bracken (20:30) in 13th place.
Red Raiders earn pair of victories
BELLEFONTE — Led by three runners among the first four across the finish line, Bellefonte posted two wins Tuesday at Governor’s Park, dropping Lewistown 15-50 and Tyrone 26-29.
Nick Grasser led the Red Raiders in 19 minutes, 18 seconds over the 5-kilometer course to finish second behind Tyron’s Rich Stever, who crossed in 18:36. The Raiders’ David Tanney was third in 19:19 and Zach Catherman took fourth in 20:36. Alex Nelson finished ninth in 21:56.
Penns Valley rolls
MARTINSBURG — Penns Valley defeated Central Mountain 15-37 and Central 15-42 thanks to five runners finishing in the top ten Tuesday.
Peter Kistler (17:49) led the pack in first place, and Ryan Brown (18:13), Will Lush (18:50), Matt Fuller (18:54) and Michael Decker (19:17) finished at third, fifth, sixth, and seventh, respectively.

Indian Valley topples BEA, P-O
PHILIPSBURG — Philipsburg- Osceola’s Lauren Simcox claimed first place individually Tuesday, but Indian Valley swept the team scoring with a 23-34 victory over the Lady Mounties and a 15-50 thumping of Bald Eagle Area.
Simcox (20:53) won by four seconds over Indian Valley’s Brooke King, but the Warriors placed six runners in the top 10. Mary Komisar (22:16) took fourth for the Lady Mounties. P-O’s Erika Patrick (23:54) was eighth and BEA’s Kara Miller (24:02) was ninth.
Dombek paces Lady Raiders
BELLEFONTE — Danielle Dombek was first across the finish line, winning by more than a minute, to lead Bellefonte to a pair of victories Tuesday at Governor’s Park over incomplete teams fielded by Lewistown and Tyrone. Both meets finished 15-50 in the Lady Red Raiders’ favor.
Dombek turned in a time of 23 minutes, 2 seconds for the victory, with teammate Sara Bannach taking second in 24:14. Also running for Bellefonte were Molly Cain (third, 24:33), Brittany Catherman (fourth, 24:51), Debra Mott (fifth, 25:39), Deidra Kline (seventh, 27:20), Liz Wortman (eighth, 28:09) and Rachel Dahlberg (ninth, 29:06).
Penns Valley wins one, loses one
MARTINSBURG — The Penns Valley girls’ cross country team split with Central Mountain and Central on Tuesday.
The Lady Rams beat Central Mountain 17-46, but fell to Central 20-41. Cracking the top 10 for Penns Valley was Sara Ben-fer (23:24) in second and Gabby Maylock (24:25) in ninth.
