SPRING MILLS — Philipsburg-Osceola’s Lauren Simcox finished in 21 minutes, 33 seconds to pace all runners as State College went 3-0, Penns Valley finished 2-1, Bellefonte went 1-2 and Philipsburg-Osceola went 0-3 in a Tuesday’s Centre County quad meet.
Bellefonte’s Danielle Dombek was 10 seconds behind Simcox in second place at 21:43. Mira Lerner (21:50) led State College in third, P-O’s Mary Komisar (22:17) was fourth and Penns Valley’s Sara Benfer (22:25) was fifth.
Rounding out the top 10 were Penns Valley’s Morgan Grego, State College’s Megan Kelly and Anna Wing, P-O’s Kristen Fox and the Lady Little Lion’sDylan Kubina.

Kistler, Brown finish atop leader board
SPRING MILLS — Penns Valley claimed the top two spots Tuesday as Peter Kistler anD Ryan Brown finished six seconds apart to lead the Rams to a 2-1 record while hosting State College (3-0), Bellefonte (1-2) and Philipsburg- Osceola (0-3).
Each setting personal-best times, Kistler finished in 17 minutes, 18 seconds, Brown ran a 17:24 clip, with State College’s Paul Crowe (17:29), Nick Dudukovich (17:39) and Peter Lin (17:49) claiming third through fifth, respectively.
Will Lush was sixth for the Rams, Doug Jordan was seventh for the Little Lions along with Colby Brindle, Charlie Page and Seamus Wagner finishing eighth through 10th for State College.

Hollidaysburg wins sectionals
ALTOONA — Hollidaysburg claimed the District 6 Sectionals on Tuesday with a team score of 329 with State College following in second at 334.
Tyrone’s Jimmy Ferguson shot a three-under-par 69 to take first place overall in the 63-player field.
The Little Lions qualified five players for districts which included Adam Harrington (80), Cody Moore (82), Graham Nye (82), Tanner Curley (84) and Nate Frey (88) who will all advance to the District 6 Championships on Oct. 13-14 at Scotch Valley Country Club.
Bellefonte was led by Caleb Thomas’ 97 while Penns Valley was paced by Justin Arbles’ 93.
The Golden Tigers, Little Lions and Golden Eagles each qualified for the district team championships which will coincide with the individual championships.
Bellefonte, Penns Valley and P-O travel to Iron Masters Country Club today for the Mountain League Championships.

Bellefonte picks up two league wins
MINGOVILLE — Four Bellefonte players shot below 55 as the Lady Red Raiders won a tri-meet with Philipsburg-Osceola and Penns Valley by shooting a four-player score of 208 Tuesday at Nittany Country Club.
Alyssa Sinclair led Bellefonte with 49. HaleY Pollick (51), Julie Ivicic (54) and Karissa Thal (54) rounded out the Lady Red Raiders’ scoring. Mo Witters led P-O with a 49 while Morgan Coble and Hannah Wardo shot 52 and 54, respectively.
Mariah Howell led Penns Valley with a 63.
State College shot a team score of 203, but the Lady Little Lions were not involved in the Mountain League match.
Maura Handte (48), Christine Hughes (49) and Lindsey Brackbill (50) led State College.

State College falls
MANDATA — Line Mountain squeezed past State College 2-1 Tuesday in a Tri-Valley League contest.
Courtney Scott scored both goals for Line Mountain in the first half.
Brenna Boehman scored unassisted for State College (10-4, 8-3 TVL) in the 11th minute of the first half.

Huntingdon rallies past Lady Rams
SPRING MILLS — Penn Valley won the opening game, but Huntingdon rebounded to defeat the Lady Rams 20-25, 25-22, 25-13, 25-11 Tuesday.
Maria Andrews led Penns Valley (5-6) with 15 kills and five blocks. Kendyl Paolini added 12 digs and Taylor Poor-man dished out 18 assists.
The Lady Rams play at Philipsburg-Osceola on Thursday.
BEA earns sweep
TYRONE — Bald Eagle Area took care of Tyrone 25-13, 25-8, 25-13 Tuesday.
Kayla Confer totaled seven kills and four aces, Kelsey Shawhad 26 assists and Nicole Reese added eight kills for the Lady Eagles (8-3).
Lady Red Raiders down Panthers
LEWISTOWN — Bellefonte earned a 25-14, 25-21, 25-23 decision over Lewistown on Tuesday.
Kaity Clouser was a big factor in the sweep, totaling 22 kills along with Emily Putnam feeding 19 assists and Jerrica Harvey collecting nine digs.
P-O cruises past IV
BURNHAM —Carolyn Gallagherfinished with 24 service points, including eight aces Tuesday to help lead Philipsburg- Osceola past Indian Valley 25-9, 25-9, 25-4.
Kelsey Gonder dished out 14 assists for P-O (13-2) with Taylor Harpster adding nine kills.

P-O, Huntingdon finish in tie
PHILIPSBURG — Kelsey Shaw’s goal for Philipsburg-Osceola with just 2 minutes, 18 seconds left in regulation forced overtime Tuesday as the Lady Mounties and Huntingdon finished in a 2-2 tie on Tuesday.
Debi Hirschbiel assisted on the game-tying goal which was also Shaw’s first goal of the season.
P-O’s Cherise Diehl tied the game at 1-1 at 17:50 and the game remained scoreless until Huntingdon’s Rachel Woods scored in the 66th minute.
The Lady Mounties’ 3-0 victory over Lewistown on Monday was the program’s 100th victory. The program began play in 1998.
Lady Rams roll over Tyrone
SPRING MILLS — Penns Valley used five first-half goals to cruise past Tyrone 6-1 Tuesday.
Carolyn Darr scored twice for the Lady Rams (7-5) with a goal apiece coming from Katie Deardorff, Leah Mothersbaugh, Liz Ventura and Maggie Lynch.
Great Commission blanks Lady Bulldogs
ALTOONA — Kristen Slagle scored twice in the second half to help Great Commission pull away to a 3-0 victory against Centre County Christian Academy on Tuesday.
Jordan Dawson also scored for the winners. CCCA (5-2) stayed close thanks to 17 saves from goalie Hannah Thomas.

Little Lions rout DuBois
STATE COLLEGE — Mike Gaetano netted three goals Tuesday as State College blanked DuBois 8-0.
Aron Griffin scored two goals for State College (5-4-1) while Kelton Cheney, Norberto Rodriguez and Kevin Heckler each tallied a goal.
Styles powers BEA
WINGATE — Bald Eagle Area sophomore Dan Styles scored his first career hat trick as the Eagles posted a 3-0 win over Indian Valley on Tuesday.
“We played a solid game, and Dan did a good job of finishing in the back of the net,” said BEA coach Jason Bair, who recorded his first shutout over the Warriors in his 10-year career.
Justin Giedroc and Brian Robison assisted Styles’ first-half goals, while Josh Schall added the assist in the second.
BEA improved to 5-9 on the season.
