ALTOONA — State College swept past Altoona 5-0 to advance to the Distrist 6 Class AAA team finals.

BEA blanks Tyrone
TYRONE — Bald Eagle Area moved past Tyrone 3-0 Monday.
Libby Wedlake and Carrina Trawinski each tallied first-half goals with Amber McClure scoring in the second half.
Chelsey Lucas had six saves in goal for BEA (4-12).
Bellefonte tops P-O
BELLEFONTE — A defelcted goal proved to be the difference as Bellefonte knocked off Philipsburg-Osceola 1-0 on Monday.
Bellefonte’s Jillian Musser fired a shot midway through the second half that deflected off a defender and past Lady Mounties goalie Amanda Czar for the game-winner.
Abby Newmanhad three saves to net the shutout for the Lady Red Raiders (13-3), who outshot P-O 16-4. Czar had 11 saves for the Lady Mounties (8-8-1).
Lady Rams edge Lewistown
LEWISTOWN — Penns Valley used a second-half goal Monday to get past Lewistown 1-0.
Lady Ram senior Katie Deardorff notched an unassisted goal in the 62nd minute.
“Katie Deardorff was all over the field and Robin Siegenthaler was just stellar in goal,” said Penns Valley coach Jeff Wiest.
Siegenthaler needed five saves to earn the shutout for Penns Valley (9-7).
Grace Prep triumphs
DUBOIS — Kalki Streit scored three goals Monday as Grace Prep topped DuBois Christian 6-2.
Caitlin Crable scored two goals with Sam Bohlman adding a goal for the Lady Storm (5-7-1).

Barkley lifts Red Raiders
PHILIPSBURG — Bellefonte’s Garrett Barkley scored with three minutes left in the second overtime Monday as the Red Raiders edged Philipsburg-Osceola 2-1.
Alex Boumerhi tied the game for P-O with an unassisted goal in the 56th minute after Tyler Hill put Bellefonte up 1-0 in the 45th minute.
Tyler Ruble saved five shots for Bellefonte (3-12-1) while Josh Cowher had 10 saves in goal for the Mounties (1-13-1).
Penns Valley wins again
SPRING MILLS — Lewistown tallied four second-half goals before Penns Valley’s Evan Gover scored the game-winner less than two minutes into overtime Monday for a 5-4 Ram victory.
Gover notched his goal unassisted at 81:51.
John Downie, Anthony Glossner and Gover each scored in the first half as Penns Valley (12-2-1) went up 3-0 at halftime.
BEA, Tyrone tie
WINGATE — Two over-times would not be enough time to determine a winner Monday as Bald Eagle Area tied Tyrone 1-1.
Brian Robison scored for the Eagles (5-11-1) in the 13th minute with Tyrone’s Deryk Montgomery tying the game in the 30th minute.
State College bounces Central Dauphin East
HARRISBURG — State College needed three second- half goals to earn a 4-3 victory over Central Dauphin East on Monday.
With the game tied at 1-1 at the half, Mike Gaetano, Matt Lee and Robbie Edwards each scored in the second half for the Little Lions (9-4-1).
State College’s Kelton Cheney scored in the first half.
Grace Prep topples DuBois Christian
DUBOIS — Davis Streit and Smith Paul scored two goals apiece Monday to lead Grace Prep past DuBois Christian 8-2.
Also notching goals in the win was Jon Rothgeb, Tom Sicree, Meade Lewis and Micah Houston.

Little Lions earn shutout
PITTSBURGH — Abe Edson scored two goals Monday and goalie Mac Weiler saved all 21 shots he faced as State College crushed Gateway 4-0 to begin its regular season.
Following a scoreless first period, Edson notched both a power play and shorthanded goal in the second period.
Ryan Pate added a third-period goal in addition to having two assists. Danny Moscone also scored for State College.
