The Penn State Career Pathways program is an adult basic-education program funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, adult education division Our adult education classes are free to eligible participants and designed to help them plan a career through academic skill preparation as well as personal and workplace skill development. We offer many services including GED test preparation, math refresher and brushup courses, workplace literacy, career preparation, integrated computer skills, distance learning opportunities, one-on-one Tutoring and goal-setting exercises. Our free community services have helped many adults prepare for college and career entrance exams, advance in their current careers, and obtain their ommonwealth secondary diploma.

The GED test will change in 2014. Existing test scores will expire Dec. 31. We can help those who have started their GED tests finish before they expire. For more information regarding the changing GED test, please visit the GED testing service website at www.gedtestingservice.com.
For those who need additional support, educational counseling and case management services are offered as part of enrollment in our program. We also coordinate tutoring services for those who cannot attend the regularly scheduled classes. We are always looking for volunteers to serve as tutors for our students.
