A Clearfield County man will spend five to 10 years in state prison for his role in the armed robbery of a Philipsburg tobacco store in December.
Jason McGonigal, 27, was convicted last month by a Centre County jury of conspiracy to commit robbery, a felony, and several misdemeanor counts stemming from the holdup of the Puff Super Value Tobacco store on South Front Street.
President Judge Thomas K. Kistler handed down the sentence Thursday. McGonigal will serve five to 10 years to run consecutive to another sentence in a separate case in Clearfield County.
