The breakfast is an opportunity to bring the community together to help in the organization’s campaign and to find more ways to assist needy families, said Maj. Gene Weller, Centre County Toys for Tots coordinator.
The all-you-can-eat breakfast will include live entertainment, guest speakers and information about the Toys for Tots campaign.
About 200 people are expected to attend the breakfast, Weller said.
Never miss a local story.
This year’s honorary chairman and guest speaker will be Dan Weidensaul, whose parents own Tannenbaum Farms in Centre Hall.
Weidensaul is deputy assistant chief of staff and advertising representative for the Marine Corps Recruiting Command in Quantico, Va.
Toys for Tots serves more 10,000 children in Centre County annually, starting with families registered for assistance through the seven food banks in the county, Weller said. The organization has about 1,000 volunteers, Weller added.
Toys will be dispersed to families starting in mid-December.
