Two Centre County bridges have received weight restrictions from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
In Yarnell, Boggs Township, the bridge on Marsh Creek Road over Little Marsh Creek is restricted to 32 tons for single vehicles and 40 tons for combination vehicles. The bridge, built in 1937, carries an average of 265 vehicles a day.
Near Penn Hall in Gregg Township, the Brush Mountain Road over a branch of Spruce Creek now will have a restriction of 11 tons per vehicle and 20 tons for combination vehicles. The bridge is 80 years old and carries 290 vehicles a day.
PennDOT announced the restrictions Wednesday.

The weight limitations were imposed to slow down the deterioration of the bridges until they can be repaired or replaced.
