Perkins, 525 Benner Pike, is expected to open at 8 a.m. Feb. 24, a restaurant spokeswoman said Friday.
Management and its employees should be moving into Perkins on Monday for staff training, according to Cam General Contracting.
The Clearfield County-based construction company said the restaurant was to open in November, but that was delayed due to construction issues.
“We are truly pleased to be opening. ... We look forward to introducing Perkins’ refreshed look to the community and serving our legendary Perkins menu to all those who have eagerly awaited and supported our return to the market,” said Russ Berner, vice president of operations for JDK Management, which operates the new restaurant.
Perkins spokeswoman Vivian Brooks said the restaurant would employ about 100 people.
Construction began in September, and workers are putting on the finishing touches and going through inspections, Brooks said.
College Township engineer Kent Baker said that Perkins submitted a plan to the township March 18 to build a 4,360-square-foot, 132-seat restaurant next to the front parking lot of Eastview Plaza.
A Perkins was formerly at 1661 S. Atherton St. — the site of a new IHOP.
The restaurant will be open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
Perkins was founded in 1958 and has more than 400 restaurants in North America.
