Rescue teams were searching Saturday for a kayaker reported missing in Clearfield County.
Fourteen people from out of the area were taking a trip Saturday afternoon on the Susquehanna River in Karthaus Township, Clearfield County, when their kayaks hit high and turbulent waters and tipped over.
Joe Bigar, Clearfield County emergency management director, said dispatchers got a call around 12:10 p.m.
By 9:30 p.m. one individual was still missing, State police at Clearfield said. Officials would not release the gender or age of the missing person.

Clearfield, Karthaus, and Curwensville water rescue teams responded to the scene along with several other rescue crews from as far away as Howard. A state police helicopter was also searching the area.
Water temperatures are around 41 degrees, Bigar said.
Bigar said the search would continue until dusk and resume Sunday morning.
