The team also had the second highest score in the oral component, with a 98.33, said Robert Sweitzer, manager at the Centre County Conservation District.
The team included advisers Jade Thompson and Jacy Clark, and team members Jeff Gleason, Luke Besong, Sam Van Cise, Emily Quick and Otis Statham.
Envirothon is an environmental competition that promotes goals of environmental education in high school and recognizes students who achieve excellence in environmental and natural resource knowledge.
Participants score points by answering questions correctly on topics such as forestry, wildlife, aquatic ecology, soils and land use, and current issues at five stations.
Sixty-four teams participated at the state level with a winning team from Penncrest High School in Delaware County.
