In addition to clogging traffic along College Avenue, road construction has shuffled bus stops in downtown State College.
Centre Area Transportation Authority officials said Friday that several bus stops have been temportatily relocated until at least early next week.
The College Avenue and Allen Street and University Club bus stops have been moved to the corner of College Avenue and Pugh Street, CATA said in a news release.
This relocation lasted all day Thursday and Friday and will last until construction is done in that area.
On Monday, CATA also will experience a “major detour” from College to Park avenues, CATA said.
Until at least Tuesday, all CATA bus stops along College Avenue will be closed.
This includes the stops along East College at Atherton Hall, College and Allen, and the West College Avenue at University Club stops.
“Passengers normally boarding on College Avenue are encouraged to instead pick up their bus at either the Shortlidge Road at White Building stop or North Atherton Street at Walker Building bus stops,” CATA said.
In addition, until Monday at the soonest, Park Avenue CATA routes will be temporarily closed. All CATA routes normally along Park Avenue will instead travel along Curtin Road.
Passengers boarding on Park Avenue should pick up the bus at the Pattee Transit Center Eastbound stop, Pattee Transit Center Westbound stop, Curtin Road at the Pavilion Theatre stop or Curtin Road at the Visual Arts Building stop.
