A tractor-trailer jack-knifed Tuesday on U.S. 322, blocking westbound traffic on the Mount Nittany Expressway for about 90 minutes..
State College police Sgt. Chris Hill said that the accident occurred at 2:56 p.m. on a curve near the Branch Road overpass.
The operator of the tractor-trailer lost control of the rig and jack-knifed, coming to rest in a position that halted all westbound traffic, Hill said.
As a result of the tractor-trailer incident, a separate accident occurred involving two vehicles, Hill said, adding that no injuries were reported in the two-vehicle crash, he said.

Hill said wet roads were the primary factor in the crash, rather than speed. The operator of the tractor-trailer will not be cited, he said.
Hill said the tractor-trailer driver was taken by LifeLink EMS to Mount Nittany Medical Center with minor injuries.
The truck was towing a trailer marked with Pohl Transportation Inc., a Versailles, Ohio, company.
The westbound lanes reopened after more than an hour of closure.
