A Centre Hall man will serve time in a state prison for a 2-year string of 26 burglaries in the State College area.
President Judge Thomas Kistler sentenced Aaron Klinger, 24, on Monday to four to eight years in jail for breaking into small apartment complexes from 2012 to 2014, forcing his way through the doors of unoccupied apartments and taking cash and electronics such as TVs, gaming systems, laptop computers and tablets.
Klinger previously pleaded guilty to felony charges of burglary, criminal trespass, criminal use of a communication facility, criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, as well as several misdemeanor charges.
Co-defendant Ryan Reichlin, no age or hometown available, previously pleaded guilty, and is now serving eight to 20 years in a state prison. On Jan. 9, 2014, Klinger was arrested and charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver when police traced him to the sale of heroin. According to the Centre County District Attorney’s Office, Klinger cooperated with authorities and provided information about Reichlin.
