Two people were injured, one a young Amish boy, when a motorcycle and a scooter collided Wednesday afternoon near Madisonburg.
Miles Township firefighters said the boy was riding down a dirt road near the Peach Lane Amish School when he traveled onto state Route 192 and into the path of a motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, who was not identified, reportedly tried to swerve, but hit the scooter, firefighters said.
State police at the scene said they were investigating and would release additional information.
The driver and the child were taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment. Firefighters said they were “scraped up,” but the extent of their injuries was unavailable.
The crash happened just outside Madisonburg, and briefly caused Route 192 to be restricted to one lane.
