A 3-year-old Amish boy from Miles Township was flown to a hospital Friday after being run over by a wagon.
According to Miles Township Fire Company Chief Brad Miller, the child fell from the spring wagon at a farm at 4897 Brush Valley Road between Madisonburg and Rebersburg. One of the wagon wheels then ran over his chest. Emergency dispatchers at the time reported he was having trouble breathing.
When Penns Valley EMS responders and Miles Township firefighters arrived, Miller said, the child had been taken to a nearby farmhouse. Miller said he “had serious injuries” but appeared in stable condition when a company assistant chief called in a LifeFlight helicopter, which flew the child to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Miller did not identify the child or provide further details about his condition, citing privacy concerns.
