The remaining dates of Cher’s Dressed to Kill concert tour, including a Jan. 9 performance at the Bryce Jordan Center, have been canceled, the singer announced Friday.
Starting in March, she had performed 49 sold-out concerts before taking a scheduled break in July. But just before resuming in September, an infection that affected her kidneys forced her to put the tour on hold.
Though she has made progress in recovering, Cher’s doctors have advised her not to go back on the road.
“I am totally devastated,” the singer said in a news release. “Nothing like this has ever happened to me. I cannot apologize enough to all the fans who bought tickets.
Never miss a local story.
“I’m so proud of this show. It is my best ever. I sincerely hope that we can come back again next year and finish what we started.”
Ticket holders may obtain refunds at points of purchase. For the Bryce Jordan Center show, contact BJCTicketCenter@psu.edu or call 865-5555.
