A three-vehicle crash Saturday on Interstate 80 left two people dead, according to state police.
The incident occurred at 4:22 p.m. around mile marker 170 in Marion Township, police said.
Joann, 59, and Frank Brodzik, 64, of Delmar, N.Y., were traveling west when they slowed for traffic ahead of them, according to police. The driver of the tractor-trailer behind them was unable to slow enough to avoid striking the Brodziks’ car and pushed it into the tractor-trailer in front of them, police said.
Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers declared both dead on the scene, according to police.

Joann Brodzik died of chest trauma and Frank Brodzik of blunt force trauma, according to a release from the Centre County Coroner’s Office. The manner of death has been ruled accidental.
Charges are pending upon the completion of the investigation, police said.
