State College police have released details about a Harris Township crash Wednesday involving text messaging.
According to police, Samuel Suarez, 22, of Millheim, was driving a Dodge Dart north at about 3:15 p.m. on East Boal Avenue when he approached the intersection of Warner Boulevard.
Suarez said he had a green light when he looked down at his phone, but when he looked back up the light was red.
He ran the red light and hit a Mercedes SUV driven by Roy Lisko, 64, of Boalsburg, police said, pushing it into a school bus driven by David Green, 46, of Boalsburg, that was stopped on South Atherton Street.

Suarez then hit a BMW sedan driven by Laurie Chertow, 47, of Boalsburg, police said.
Suarez and Lisko’s vehicles were towed from the scene, police said. No injuries were reported.
According to police, Suarez admitted to texting while driving and had received text messages a few minutes prior to and after the crash. He was cited for text-based communications and traffic control signal violations.
