Fast-moving storms brought heavy rain and hail to Centre County on Monday.
The deluge also led to a closure of North Atherton Street in State College near the bus station, according to police scanner reports.
A flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service during the evening, which alluded to the heavy rains that could cause “urban and small stream flooding.”
Areas that may have experienced flooding include Bellefonte, Boalsburg, Lemont, Zion, Centre Hall, Millheim, Pleasant Gap and Spring Mills.
Temperatures will cool off the rest of the workweek, National Weather Service meteorologist Joe Ceru said, with highs in the upper 40s to mid-50s and lows in the 30s
Mixed freezing rain is also possible late Wednesday and early Thursday.
