Qualifications: Deputy controller, three years. Twenty years in community banking, senior management positions in Centre County. Centre County controller, 2003-2015. Various leadership positions in volunteer community organizations, 30+ years.
Answer to question: My three top priorities for the position of Centre County controller are: 1. Openness: To continue to respond quickly and accurately to all requests for public information, submitted under Pennsylvania’s Right To Know law. 2. Financial reporting: To continue to earn the Government Finance Officers’ Association of The United States and Canada’s “Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting” for our Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. 3. Fiscal watchdog: To continue to monitor all financial transactions to ensure all have been legally incurred obligations and properly budgeted.
