4 suffer minor injuries in Jacksonville Road crash
From CDT staff reports
Four people suffered minor injuries when a hay trailer being pulled by a pickup truck struck a car on Jacksonville Road (state Route 26) in Marion Township shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday.
State police at Rockview said a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Matthew Ulmer, 22, of Bellefonte, was traveling north on Jacksonville Road. It was pulling a hay trailer that extended over the double yellow line.
A Chevrolet Malibu driven by Raymond Hoffman, 21, of Bellefonte, was traveling south on Jacksonville Road, police said.
As both vehicles approached a turn in the road, the trailer struck Hoffman's car, causing major damage to the left side of the car, police said. Hoffman's disabled car came to a stop in the southbound lane of Jacksonville Road facing south.
The two drivers were uninjured, police said. Four passengers in Hoffman's vehicle, ranging in age from 6 to 17, suffered minor injuries, police said. No further information was provided.
