closeFederal marshals said Wednesday that they’ve arrested the lone remaining escapee who fled from prison custody one year ago. Derrick Wilson, who was wanted for an escape from the federal prison camp in Lewisburg, escaped around 1 a.m. July 20 along with fellow inmate Anthony Prince.
Prince was apprehended Jan. 5 in Charlotte, N.C.
Marshals found Wilson, 40, in a parking lot on the outskirts of Atlanta around 8 p.m. Tuesday. At the time of his escape, Wilson was serving a federal drug sentence from the Southern District of New York.
He was arraigned Wednesday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Gerrilyn Brill in Atlanta and will be prosecuted for escape in the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
