Police say driver racked up $411 parking tab and left airport

Penn State University Police reported someone left the parking area of the University Park Airport Wednesday without paying for a parking $411 bill.

Penn State University Police reported someone left the parking area of the University Park Airport Wednesday without paying a parking $411 bill.

This happened around 1:30 p.m., police reported.

It wasn't immediately clear how the driver got out of the gated lot.

According to the airport’s Web site, parking is limited to lots for both long-term and short-term parking operated by Republic Parking Systems.

The entrances and exits are gated, and the maximum weekly charge is $40.

Police are investigating.
