closeGhouls and ghosts will haunt the Buffalo Run Community Park as part of “Haunted Woods at Benner Park” event from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
The haunted trail in Benner Township first appeared in 2004, and has grown each year. As participants make their way down the trail, they’ll meet ghoulish creatures and, new this year, encounter a “fresh” market serving up tasty treats, along with ghosts and an alien invasion.
The event is free and open to all ages. Donated canned food items to support local food banks are will be welcomed.
It’s all made possible with the help of Bellefonte High School Key Club students, Bellefonte area Boy Scout troops and other local volunteers.
The park is located at 2151 Buffalo Run Road (state Route 550) in front of Continental Courts. In the event of rain, the event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 31. For more information, call the township at 355-1419.
