Driver suffers minor injury in I-80 crash

The driver of a tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries, police said, after he lost control of his rig while traveling east on Interstate 80 at mile marker 119 in Clearfield County.

According to state police at Clearfield, Cominik Ostrzenski, 34, of Chicago, was trying to negotiate a left curve about 1:40 a.m. today when he lost control of the 2002 Volvo truck tractor and trailer he was driving. The vehicle began to spin counter clockwise. The driver tried to counter steer, and the vehicle began to spin clockwise, his the guide rails on the south shoulder of the highway, then traveled about 100 feet south over the embankment before coming to a stop.
