Second forum on voting machines set for tonight

A second community forum to hear testimony regarding Centre County's touch-screen voting machine system will begin at 7 tonight at the State College Borough Building, 243 S. Allen St.

The forum hosted by Centre County commissioners will include a brief overview on the operation of the voting machine, the security features in place and information from the Help America Vote Act.

Individuals wishing to provide testimony are asked to pre-register by calling 355-6700. Testimony will be limited to five minutes, and those offering testimony are asked to provide a written copy.

Anyone wishing to voice an opinion who is unable to attend may submit testimony via the county's Web site, co.centre.pa.us, by clicking on the online comment form in the Voting Machine Public Forum section.
