Interim director of State College DID named

David Wells, who has been active for years with the Downtown State College Improvement District, has been named interim executive director of the district.

Wells was active with the Downtown State College Partnership for over five years and has been active with the Downtown State College Improvement District for seven years, according to the news release announcing his appointment.

During his time with the DID, he served as chairman of the Marketing Committee, the Clean and Safe Committee and the special events committee, and was instrumental in creating events such as the DID's Sumemr Concert Series, Chili Cook-Off and Polar Express, according to the release.
