Mount Nittany Medical Center presented the fifth annual Patient CARE Awards and the Allied Health Professional Excellence Award to nonphysician staff members, who were nominated by physicians.
The Patient CARE Awards honors excellence in patient care and services in four categories: clinical, administration, research and education.
This year’s recipients are:
Clinical: Kimberly Walk, surgical technologist

Research: Angela Jodon, clinical/staff pharmacist
Education: Jessica Bird, medical staff office assistant
The Allied Health Professional Excellence Award honors an allied health staff member who upholds the standards of clinical care through excellence, service, citizenship and innovation. This year’s recipient is Mark Lombardo.
Videon Central expanded its leadership team by hiring Dave Liebert as vice president of engineering. Videon, a media technology company, is based in State College
Liebert has 25 years of experience in the streaming-video industry and most recently worked at Rovi Corp., which is based in Santa Clara, Calif., as vice president of engineering. There he managed entertainment-store software development and created white-label video on demand services for labels ranging from iOS to Xbox. He is also a Penn State alumnus.
