Couple add to gift for PSU athletics

Milton and Lois Morgan, who several years ago designated a leadership gift to support what is now the Morgan Academic Support Center for Student-Athletes, have added a million-dollar commitment to endow the Morgan Center’s director’s position.

The center helps Penn State student-athletes achieve their academic goals while participating in intercollegiate athletic programs.

The Morgan Center director, in consultation with the director of athletics, will determine specific designations for the endowment’s annual income.

Milton Morgan graduated from Penn State in 1954 from the College of the Liberal Arts. He is chairman of the board of Lancaster-based J. Walter Miller Co., a brass and bronze foundry.

The Morgans previously have provided support for Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, women’s basketball, the Levi Lamb Fund and construction of the Bryce Jordan Center.
