Visitors to Penn State's recently opened arboretum off Park Avenue will soon be able to enter the gardens on a boardwalk.

The class of 2010 chose the Marsh Meadow Boardwalk and Overlook as their class gift and students have already pledged about $19,000, the senior class gift committee announced Tuesday.
Alyssa Rosenblum, communications chairwoman, said the goal is to raise about $150,000, and the project will be designed based on how much is raised. She said the committee, Office of Physical Plant and arboretum officials will develop a timeline over the next few months.
If it is in keeping with typical class gift schedules, it could be finished in summer 2011.
