If you’re looking forward to food and drinks at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Happy Valley, you’ll have a long wait before they take your order.
Bohler Engineering submitted plans for the development of a Buffalo Wild Wings in 2015, but there have been no updates to it. Instead the company has filed for 90-day extensions multiple times, most recently on June 12, with Ferguson Township.
Lindsay Schock, the township’s community planner, said that developments like Buffalo Wild Wings usually take about six to nine months for planning. The eatery’s publicly recorded plans for a 5,440-square-foot restaurant off Blue Course Drive and North Atherton Street have hit the 19-month mark.
The development is in a holding pattern due to pending traffic evaluations, according to Schoch, among other issues such as storm water management and lighting. There is a left-turn restriction on North Atherton Street where the entry to the parking lot is located. The township has also recommended that there be a sidewalk from the access road to the parking lot.
Never miss a local story.
Schoch said plans must be resubmitted to be in compliance with all ordinances before they would be recommended for Board of Township Supervisors approval. The restaurant would include 241 seats, including 54 outdoor.
Buffalo Wild Wings has not responded to requests for comment for more than two years.
