Track N’ Trail could have a new home just southwest of the Skytop Mountain Golf Club.
The all-terrain vehicle and motorcycle dealership plans to have a new facility, according to Centre County Subdividision and Land Development Planner Chris Schnure. The commercial building would be about 28,000 square feet at a location that does not yet have an address, though it would be off Skytop Mountain Road. An address would not be assigned until a building permit is issued.
Details outside of what is public record are scarce, and Track N’ Trail co-owner Steve Williams declined comment.
It is unclear if the move is a second location for the dealership or a relocation from State College.
An existing access road off Skytop Mountain Road would be upgraded with pavement as part of the development, which would include the construction of a parking lot and a stormwater management system.
No part of the land development plan, which was submitted to Centre County staff June 7, has been approved, according to Schnure. The plan will likely be granted “some sort of conditional approval” by the Centre County planning commission in July.
“It does seem to be feasible,” Schnure said. “We’re still working on it, and they will to garner zoning approval. They’ll have to work with our engineer and conservation district for erosion and sedimentation controls.”
