A Woodland woman died Friday night after a crash on U.S. Route 322 in Decatur Township, Clearfield County.
State police at Clearfield say the crash happened when 62-year-old Joyce Dixon, driving east in a 1998 Jeep Cherokee, hit a deer that ran into the road from the south berm around 9:40 p.m.
Dixon's Cherokee crossed into the oncoming westbound lane and hit a Ford F-150 head on. Her vehicle then went off the north side of the road and down an embankment, where it stopped.
The truck was driven by 28-year-old Adam Lamb, of Houtzdale. He and his passenger, 23-year-old Carla Dillen, had minor injuries.
