An inmate from the Centre County jail walked away from a work detail between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, state police reported.
Dylan Nole Maughmer is now wanted for escape, state police said.
Maughmer was doing weed-eater work near the Willowbank building election office area, but did not report as required at 4 p.m., police said.
An inmate reportedly noticed Maughmer missing around 2:30 p.m. but didn’t tell anyone.
Maughmer is from the Petersburg area of Huntingdon County, and has been arrested three times this year for drug-related offenses. He is 19 years old and has brown eyes, fair complexion, brown hair, slender build, and is 6 feet tall and 180 pounds
Maughmer was wearing the orange jumpsuit prisoners normally wear.
The last time he was in court in Centre County he was sentenced to six to 12 months in jail. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 355-7545.
