The ceremony: 7 p.m. Thursday at Alumni Stadium.Number of graduates: 168.Weather: Despite the gray clouds and rain earlier on Thursday, school officials decided keep the ceremony outdoors. “Thus far it looks like the window may last until the graduation is complete,” Superintendent Dan Fisher told the audience minutes before the ceremony started. “So let’s pray for that.”

The Bald Eagle Area softball team will face Brandywine Heights in the PIAA Class AA Championship at noon on Friday at Shippensburg University's Robb Field.
Danielle Reese and Shane Robinson were the recipients of the James Snyder Award at Bald Eagle Area High School Tuesday night. The award, sponsored by the Centre Daily Times, is given in memory of Snyder, a former CDT sports editor, who was killed in an automobile accident in December of 1957.

Collectors sue over school board decision to cut pay
Tax collectors in the Bald Eagle Area School District filed suit against the district and school board, hoping to reverse a major pay cut and a possible shift in who collects the district's tax bills.
