Start time changed for BEA's title game
From CDT staff reports
The Bald Eagle Area softball team will face Brandywine Heights in the PIAA Class AA Championship at noon on Friday at Shippensburg University's Robb Field.
The contest was orginally scheduled for 10 a.m., but was moved because Class AAAA finalist Shaler has graduation later that evening. The contest will be broadcast live on PCN (Comcast Ch. 22) and WBLF-AM 970.
The Lady Eagles (23-3), the runner-up last season, advanced to the title game with a 1-0 triumph against District 7 champion Riverside on Monday. District 3 champion Brandywine Heights (27-0) crushed District 4 champ Central Columbia 7-0.
BEA defeated Brandywine Heights 6-0 in the 2005 state title game. The Bullets also fell 11-6 against Philpsburg- Osceola in the 2007championship.
