Jeremy Stover, 44, of Rebersburg, died in a crash on Thursday.
Stover, who was wearing a helmet, was driving a Harley Davidson eastbound on Brush Valley Road in Gregg Township and approached Ridge Road at 4:50 p.m. That is when Harriet Wolfe, 77, of Spring Mills, attempted to make a left turn from Ridge Road to go westbound onto Brush Valley Road.
Stover was thrown from the motorcycle when the crash occurred.
State police at Rockview said in a release that Wolfe, who drove a Chevrolet Traverse, “failed to observe (Stover) and pulled into (his) lane of travel.” Police did not say if the sun glare, which was facing drivers traveling west in the late afternoon, was a factor in the cause of the crash.
Centre County Deputy Coroner Todd Shook pronounced Stover dead at the scene. Wolfe had minor injuries.
Miles, Gregg and Centre Hall fire companies responded to the crash.
