Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf is scheduled to attend the 43rd annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. memorial banquet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center.
The banquet, sponsored by the Forum on Black Affairs, will feature an evening of entertainment celebrating King’s legacy and recognizing members of the community who exemplify his teachings and philosophies, according to a Penn State release.
Wolf’s appearance in State College will conclude three days of appearances. His first appearance was at the Zembo Shrine in Harrisburg on Saturday to thank members of the National Guard for their service. His second appearance is scheduled for Sunday at the AFC divisional playoff game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars.
