A man has been jailed for an alleged rape.
State police at Lewistown say Michael Lee Traxler, 29, asked a woman to shower with him Sept. 25 at his McAlisterville home.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, when she said no, he asked for a hug, then picked her up, put her on a couch and began to kiss her. She asked him to stop.
Police also interviewed the woman, who said she kept saying “no,” got free and tried to walk away, only to have him pin her again, according to the affidavit. Then he allegedly directed her to have sex with him.
Traxler said he tickled her, and she laughed, according to the affidavit. He then allegedly removed his and her clothes and performed multiple sexual acts. The woman tried to break free, punched him in the ribs and again said “no.”
He allegedly said the woman told him “no” several times, and he felt she was serious when she punched him. He said the incident then ended.
Traxler was charged with one count of felony rape by forcible compulsion, one count of felony sexual assault, one count of felony aggravated indecent assault by forcible compulsion and misdemeanor indecent assault forcible compulsion.
Unsecured $25,000 bail was set by Juniata District Judge Barbara Lyter, who scheduled a preliminary hearing for 10:30 a.m. Oct. 11.
