Shaunda Denina Hopkins, 42, was sentenced Thursday to three to six years in state prison.
Centre County Court of Common Pleas Judge Bradley P. Lunsford issued the sentence. Hopkins was found guilty by a jury of two different felony counts of failure to comply with registration requirements in connection with Megan’s Law.
Hopkins was required to register under Megan’s Law after a 2012 conviction of interference with custody of a child, concealment of whereabouts of a child and false reports to law enforcement authorities. Those convictions required her to keep her address and place of employment current, but she was found to have lied about her employment initially, and then failed to update her information after being terminated from a subsequent employer.
Hopkins appeared on two episodes of Cupcake Wars on Food Network. She was eliminated early in both episodes.
