At least a dozen alcohol and ordinance violations were issued by State College police on Friday night and into Saturday morning.
This is a weekend trend that Lt. Brad Smail said is normal for this time of year.
“There haven’t been any problems at bars or after the game,” Smail said, referring to rowdiness from the Penn State-Central Florida football game that was played in Ireland and aired on TV early Saturday morning.
“People were excited for the game, but nothing got severely out of hand.”
Police were called to at least one house party on Fairmount Avenue that was escalating Saturday afternoon, but with a warning to the residents, the party eventually settled down, Smail said.
