A homeless man was charged with attempted robbery Sunday.
Scott James Flanagan, 35, of State College, approached a Papa John’s pizza delivery driver at 12:19 p.m. on West Beaver Avenue, police said.
Flanagan threatened to kill the driver if he didn’t give him the pizzas he was carrying, police said.
The driver told State College police he believed Flanagan was carrying a knife and ran from him to his car on Miller Alley.
The driver told police he hid behind his vehicle, and Flanagan ran past the vehicle.
The driver rode in a police vehicle in an attempt to spot Flanagan, who was identified and arrested in front of the Beaver Avenue parking garage. Flanagan has been charged with felony attempted robbery, misdemeanor terrorist threats, misdemeanor disorderly conduct and a summary.
He is awaiting arraignment at the Centre County Correctional Facility.
