A routine traffic stop Monday night in Boggs Township led to a high-speed chase ending in a crash.
State police at Rockview said a trooper saw a 2012 Chrevolet Cruze failing to stay within a single lane while heading north on state Route 150 at about 11:20 p.m. When a traffic stop was initiated, the driver, a 26-year-old man who was not identified, did not pull over, instead speeding along the highway and turning left onto Curtin Hollow Road, police said.
About a half-mile after the turn, police said, the man lost control of his car, ran off the left edge of the road and hit an embankment. He was then taken into custody for a possible DUI and driven to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment, said police, who are investigating the incident.
