A Bellefonte woman is facing drug charges after her housing manager complained of smelling marijuana smoke.
According to a criminal complaint, police responded about 1 p.m. Monday to the Beaver Farm Lane residence of Sayda Scott, 21, after her housing manager said she and roommate Aaron Benner said they were smoking.
The police officer said he could smell burned marijuana in the residence, and that he found small amounts of the drug along with burnt residue on smoking devices and a grinder, the complaint said. Scott, who is four months pregnant, and Benner admitted to smoking pot while their 6-month-old daughter was home, police said.
Scott is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, the complaint said. She is awaiting a preliminary hearing, according to court documents.
