A Chester County man faces charges in Centre County after being suspected by state police of sending lewd pictures of himself to a minor.
A minor from Potter Township told state police in November that she met Kevin Coy Jr., 21, of Parkesburg, at the Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair in 2013, when Coy was employed with an amusement company.
Police said the minor told them Coy contacted her via text message in 2014 and the two began communicating on the phone and on Skype, and Coy occasionally sent pictures of his genitals to her.
According to a police affidavit, a state trooper interviewed Coy in December and Coy told them that he knew the girl, that he was aware she was younger than 18 and that he had sent four pictures of his exposed penis to her.
Coy is charged with felony distribution of sexually explicit materials to a minor and misdemeanor corruption of a minor. He was arraigned before District Judge Thomas Jordan on Monday and released on $10,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 28.
