ALLENTOWN, Pa. Authorities in eastern Pennsylvania are trying to find out who killed a man who was found stabbed to death in the backyard of a Bethlehem home.

PHILIPSBURG — Police have named Troy Ray Tierney, of Port Matilda, as the man who fatally shot his 21-year-old girlfriend while hunting at night on Oct. 24, and said they are looking into both game law violations and criminal homicide charges as part of the investigation.

BELLEFONTE — Charges were dropped Thursday against a 19-year-old Bellefonte man accused of raping a 16-year-old girl last summer because of concerns over witness credibility for a trial scheduled to begin today.
